Whew! It's Friday! I need to be refreshed...and so does my skin. It has taken me a VERY long time for me to find what works for my skin. First of all, I should probably mention that I have dry, acne prone skin. I can't even tell you how many times I have switched up my skin care regimen; I have spent many years of my life at the dermatologist getting perscribed different medicines (oral and topical), getting chemical peels and microdermabrasion's, and trying different products. When I was in high school I had very bad cystic acne. Once I finally got it under control with a variety of medicine and painful facials I thought all my skincare problems were solved... Until about 8 years later and my body started getting immune to my routine.
Soooo... guess where I landed? Yep, right back in the dermatologists office. However, this time around, nothing seemed to do the trick. My mom had convinced me to get a membership to Massage Envy as a way to treat not only my skin with relaxing facials, but myself. I figured it would be a nice way to relax my mind and body especially when I was stressed. And I had tried everything under the sun I was willing to do anything to get my skin clear again. They suggested the brand Murad to me. They have a bunch of different lines, depending on your skin type and skin needs, but we decided for me it would be best to mix and match.
These two cleansers are perfect for acne. They deep clean my skin and really make it feel refreshed. This soothing serum is absolutely wonderful for people with dry skin like me. It makes my skin feel so cool and calm after washing it. For morning, I use this Invisiblur Protecting Shield for lotion and a primer. Two in one...what could be better? It really does smooth out all my pores and make my skin ready for all the makeup I am about to put on it. I have noticed my foundation goes on so much smoother and even when I use this. At night, I use this Hydro-Dynamic Moisture. It is the thickest lotion and has intense hydration. I love the way it makes my skin feel so soft. This is one that I am constantly going back to.
