  • Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day (even on weekends): Getting sleep is key to being productive. When you have a set sleep schedule, your body knows what to expect. 
  • Have a morning/night routine: Let me tell you, once you establish a routine, you will never go back. This is a great way to get things accomplished and those adulating tasks out of the way. In my routine, I never get behind, and things don't pile up as much.
  • Plan out your week: A critical part to being productive and achieving your goals is having a plan. I have been planning in a calendar I downloaded from Teachers Pay Teachers and I have loved it. It is really helpful for me to see the entire month and what I need to do to work towards my goals.
  • Invest (clothes, skincare, home decor, food): Quality over quantity people. When you feel good, you do good. Simple as that. If you're lazing around in sweatpants and 5th day hair day after day, you're probably not going to have as much energy and not accomplish the things you need to get done. 
  • Read a self help book every month: They are a great way to get inspired and re-motivated.
  • Establish your style: Take time to invest in pieces that show off who you are on the inside. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have (in whatever style says YOU).
  • Write hand written notes: Call me old fashion but is there anything more personal than a handwritten note. Forget the email, text message, or worse yet, Facebook message and write someone a handwritten note on some cute stationary. It can be anything from a birthday card, thank you note or just because...and it really makes people smile :)
  • Make time for "Me Time:" Because you are important. Treat yourself and take care of yourself at least once a week. 
  • Stay in touch with your family: If you didn't already know, I am an only child and extremely close with my parents. I FaceTime them pretty much every night when I get home from work. It keeps me grounded and in touch with who I am. I love that special time.
  • Prioritize: Trying to get everything done at once is just setting yourself up for failure. At the beginning of your day, prioritize your top three-five things that NEED to get done. Write them down somewhere where you will constantly see them and work on one thing at a time. Then, check them off as you go... ahh the satisfaction!
