Spring is officially here and the mass amounts of cleaning are underway (at least at my house). Spring is one of the best times of the year to hit refresh in your home, wardrobe, and beauty regimen. For me, it's such a de-stresser and a great way to clear my head. With moving across the country being less than two months away, I am in full clean out mode.
If you're like muah, it's often hard to part with certain items. Weather it be a top, jewelry piece, or decor, we always find an excuse to let it stick around. In reality, we NEVER wear it, our styles have changed, and it just sits there collecting dust. Anyone with me? Over the years of hoarding stuff I didn't need, I have inquired some tips and tricks to make for a much more effective cleaning process.
- Tip 1: If it doesn't fit, throw it away.
- Tip 2: If it has stains or holes in it, say adios!
- Tip 3: Try to think of three different occasions you can wear the piece to. If you can't, say goodbye.
- Tip 4: If you haven't worn it in the past 6 months, get rid of it.
- Tip 5: Expired makeup? Trash!
Having a checklist and physically "checking" things off ensures you don't miss anything and takes the thinking out of the equation. Anything to make life easier, right? My pro tip, would be to tackle one room at a time, check it off your list, and when you're done... TREAT YO' SELF, GIRL! I designed the ultimate spring cleaning checklist just for YOU and it's FREE! (who doesn't love free stuff?) All you have to do is drag this bad boy to your desktop, print, and GO! Hope you enjoy!
