Summer Glow (skincare and health tips)

  • Drink double, triple, quadruple the water: This is so so important and something that I am consciously working on every day. During the summer months, it's so easy to get dehydrated. If you're like me and have a hard time drinking water, I have found that infused water really helps. I have a big pitcher of water in my fridge and swap out the fruits every couple days for a change. Some of my favorites are lemon, cucumber, and strawberry/blueberry. YUM!  
  • Embrace your natural hair: Summer is the perfect time to let your natural side show. With being in the pool, going to the beach, spending days on the lake, theres no point in spending hours on your locks. Give your hair a heat break and embrace your natural beauty.
  • Take your vitamins: You don't want to miss out on all the fun summer activities, so making your health a priority is number 1. I take a multivitamin and fish oil supplements every day to help keep my immune system in tip top shape. And their delicious! 
  • Wash your face morning and night: Weather you were in the salty water, had sunscreen all over your face, or were sweating in the sun, you need to wash your face. Cleanse the day away so you can get a good night sleep, keep your skin looking pure, and be ready for the next day. 
  • Moisturize: It is so important to keep our skin hydrated, even in the summer months. I recently discovered pure, all natural, 100% shea butter and let me tell you, it has changed my life. You always see moisturizers with shea butter infused in them, but using the natural stuff is a game changer, ya'll. You only need a tiny bit, and I put it on every night before I go to bed and my skin has never been happier. I will never go back to regular lotions. You can get the magic here
