Happy Monday! I am so excited to share with y'all my first work wear/teacher inspired look. I will be doing multiple different types to fit everyones dress codes and style. This first one is on the more casual side yet still office appropriate with the pants. I mean, if you ask me, they are the star of the show. They are dress pant material in a jogger type form...can you say comfy?! I love the little detail of the stripe down the side! I paired them with a casual top (I would definitely wear a cami underneath) and my favorite Tory flip flops.
Depending on your dress code, you could pair this with a classic white button down top and some black loafers to give it more of a professional look. These pants can easily be styled for happy hour after work and you won't feel like you want to get out of them by the end of the day!
Lastly, let's talk about accessories. I try to keep it simple at work, so I usually opt for a few classic pieces; one of them being a watch. I think a watch makes you look so put together and like a professional. I like black because it adds a little edgy-ness and goes with everything.
- How do you stay motivated? It can be challenging at times, I am not going to lie, teacher burn out is a real thing. But, I have learned that you HAVE to take care of yourself first. If you don't take care of your car, how do you expect it to run? I rarely bring work home with me and have learned to separate work life and personal life. When I get home and on the weekends, it is me time. I spend time with Autumn, pamper myself, watch a movie, and go out with friends one night on the weekend. When I feel I have time for myself, I feel recharged the next day at school. And it helps that I absolutely LOVE my job.
- How long have you been teaching? This will be my fourth year. I did my first three years at a public school in Arizona and now I am starting at a charter school here in San Antonio. I can't wait for this new adventure.
- What can parents supply to help the teachers? This is such a good question. Teachers spend so much of their own money buying supplies to just know that any little thing you do as parents, helps tremendously. It never goes unappreciated. Some little things, that we go through fast in a classroom are whiteboard markers, tissues, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, paper, and pencils.
- What is the best part about teaching? The best part hands down is watching your students grow. It is so rewarding to see them grasp a concept, make a good choice, and become better people because of the example you set and things you instill into them. I truly feel like I am making a difference in our future and nothing makes me happier.
Hope you got some inspiration from this and if you have any other questions or requests please let me know down below!
